Supplementary Admissions Application Form
For capital funding, the Government grants an annual amount and for major projects, such as the new KS2 classrooms, we have to apply for additional funds. In both cases, the Government only provides 90% of what they grant ….. because we are a Voluntary Aided school. The Diocese is expected to meet the remaining 10%. The Diocese will meet this 10% obligation, if we contribute to the Building Fund. If we do not, then the Governors and school have to meet this 10% which we absolutely can not afford to do. As an example, for 2009, the Building Fund contribution was around £3,500, yet the Diocese gave us in excess of £70,000 towards the new classrooms We have to remember that we are part of the Diocesan family of schools and the only reason this Fund is there to help is because other schools have also contributed to the Fund as we must for other schools when they need it. The Governors commitment is that any funds over and above the contribution to the Fund will be spent only on projects to benefit and enhance the lives of the children at our school and we will report to you on exactly what the money has been used. If you are able to help, there is a Direct Debit form on the website which you should complete and hand or send in to the school office and they will do the rest. Thank you. Paul Datson Chair of Governors

Dear Parents We are delighted to enclose a copy of our school's Ofsted Report. The governors are extremely pleased that the school has received such a positive report as a result of the inspection that was carried out on the 1 lth and l2th of February. The overall categorisation of the school is 'Good' and the inspectors graded the personal development, moral understanding, and spiritual awareness as outstanding. They also reported that they found that relationships between the staff and pupils are very good and this is evidenced in how well behaved the children are. It is reported that the school is very well led and managed by the head teacher who is very effectively supported by her deputy and that they have a clear vision for the school that is being realised. The governors are pleased that the report states that the school has a very good capacity to improve further. We congratulate the whole school community on such a successful outcome and look forward to the excellent future that is in store for the school. Yours faithfully Mr Paul Datson Chair of Governors
