One of the Catholic Social Teaching principles that we practise with the children is 'Option for the Poor', which means we try to prioritise those who need the most help.  

As a school, we find ways to fundraise that empower children to take an active role, supported by adults. Through our GIFT team and School Council, we also support charities chosen by our children.

In the last year, we have supported the Rotary Shoebox appeal for Advent after our pupils wanted to support less fortunate children, particularly those in the Ukraine. 

During Lent, our GIFT and School Council teams chose to support CAFOD with a sponsored Big Lent Walk.  All children took part in our big walk in the woods opposite our school as well as walking extra miles at weekends or to/from school.  For a small school, we raised an incredible £1,690, thanks to the generosity of families who sponsored our children!

Our pupils often spot other opportunities to raise money for charities and organise cake or sweet sales after school.
