St Anthony'sCatholic Primary School and Pre-school

Welcome

Welcome to St Anthony’s Preschool. We are a fully qualified teacher-led setting with outdoor, nature-based learning at the heart of our curriculum. Our children enjoy a whole range of activities including continuous and enhanced play, teacher-led and group activities, Forest and Farm School, music and movement and Active Ants.

We recognise every child as an individual with their own set of needs and work closely in partnership with parents to provide a space where all children can excel.

Age of Admittance

We take children from two years old and accept one-year-old funding for those that have turned two when they join us.

We also offer two-year-old funding and 15/30 hours funding for those aged three.

1.00pm – 3.00pm (2 hours)

3.00pm - 6.00pm (3 hours) Extended Preschool

As we are a school-based preschool, we operate during term times only.  Please note that we can only accept children at Breakfast and Afterschool Club (Extended Preschool) from the age of three upwards.

Forest School

Within the school grounds we have a forest school that we have full access to. We follow the Forest School principles and offer the children a mix of free-play and set activities. Children have opportunities to explore nature and the changing seasons as well as campfire cooking and bush craft.

Farm School

We also have a farm school which provides the children with the opportunity to feed and care for the animals as well as learning outside the classroom in a natural environment.

Active Ants

We have a range of gym equipment in the school hall that the children can explore through stimulating, exciting, fun-based activities designed to develop their gross motor skills. We are keen to promote physical activity at an early age to encourage a life long desire for healthy living.
